VR Equitypartner & SüdBG acquire majority stake in DEKOM

Private equity firms VR Equitypartner and SüdBG have jointly acquired a majority stake in DEKOM AG, a leading international IT provider specializing in customized audiovisual conference and collaboration solutions.

DEKOM AG CEO Simon Härke will continue to lead the company after the transaction and, together with several managers of the foreign entities, will take a significant stake as part of the transaction. Based in Hamburg, DEKOM is an international AV integrator with over 25 years of experience, over 200 employees, more than 6,000 customers and locations in Europe – including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland – as well as the United States.

VR Equitypartner (VREP), based in Frankfurt, is one of the leading equity financiers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a subsidiary of DZ BANK, the central institution of the cooperative banks in Germany, VREP supports medium-sized family businesses in a targeted manner and with decades of experience in the strategic solution of complex financing issues.

Süd Beteiligungen (SüdBG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. It has been supporting medium-sized companies for more than 50 years with customized equity and equity-related solutions in succession planning, growth financing and shareholder changes.
