Stefan Schröder set to join Freshfields from Hogan Lovells
Freshfields adds a new partner to its new Energy Transition team: it’s Stefan Schröder (pictured), regulatory specialist, and he is set to join Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Düsseldorf office from Hogan Lovells around June.
The move fills a gap in Freshfields’ German energy and infrastructure team, marking a strategic addition to their roster.
Schröder, who began his legal career at DLA Piper alongside Partner Michael Cieslarczyk a decade ago, switched to Hogan Lovells as a partner in early 2020. He specializes in energy and emissions trading matters as well as new storage and traditional network regulation issues.
At Hogan Lovells, Schröder advises gas network operators and investors in transactional projects, including investments in the biogas and hydrogen sectors. Currently, he heads Hogan Lovells’ global Energy Transition Group.
