Raue represents music society Gema against Suno
Raue, with partners Robert Heine (pictured left) and Felix Stang (center) and counsel Lisa Schopp (right), is representing the music collecting society GEMA in a lawsuit before the Regional Court of Munich I against the AI company Suno Inc.
The subject of the lawsuit is the allegation that Suno is using copyrighted works from GEMA’s repertoire (including well-known works such as ‘Forever Young’, ‘Atemlos’ and ‘Daddy Cool’) for its service – an AI music generator – without having acquired a licence for them.
Raue is already representing GEMA against OpenAI in one of the world’s first lawsuits brought by a collecting society for the unlicensed use of protected works by an AI provider.
