Legance and Noerr with Cisalfa Sport for the agreement with SportScheck
Cisalfa Sport has signed an agreement with the bankruptcy trustee of SportScheck GmbH, Axel Bierbach. Cisalfa Sport has been selected as a partner in the competitive procedure initiated by the bankruptcy trustee following the filing of an application for admission to a voluntary insolvency procedure.
Cisalfa Sport is the largest Italian retailer of sports clothing, with over 150 stores in Italy and 50 stores in Germany through its subsidiary Sport Voswinkel GmbH. SportScheck, a company active in the same sector in the German market, operates over 30 stores.
The operation is still subject to approval by the German Antitrust Authority (Bundeskartellamt).
Cisalfa Sport has been legally assisted by Legance for all legal aspects of the operation, with a team led by partners Giandomenico Ciaramella and Sven von Mensenkampff (pictured, respectively right and left), and composed of associates Ilaria Stassano and Biancamaria Veronese.
Legance worked together with a team from the German law firm Noerr, led by partners Alexander Hirsch, Dorothee Prosteder, and Maurice Seché. Alvarez & Marsal provided assistance to Cisalfa Sport for financial and tax profiles, while Clearwater handled the strategic consulting part.
The trustee has been legally assisted by the German office of McDermott Will & Emery for legal aspects, by Wieselhuber for financial profiles, and by AT Kearney for strategic consulting.
