Hogan Lovells and LMS in Gerresheimer’s acquisition of Blitz LuxCo Sarl

The international law firm Hogan Lovells has assisted Gerresheimer, a global partner headquartered in Germany for pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and cosmetic industries capable of providing innovative systems and solutions, in the acquisition of Blitz LuxCo Sarl, the holding company that controls the Bormioli Pharma Group. The acquisition is valued at approximately 800 million euros and was completed on December 10, 2024.

Gerresheimer and Bormioli Pharma share a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. Both companies have implemented structured innovation processes aimed at developing user-friendly systems while pursuing ambitious sustainability goals.

Hogan Lovells assisted Gerresheimer with a cross-border multidisciplinary team led by partners Franz-Josef Schoene (Düsseldorf, PICTURED) and Luca Picone (Milan), and composed – for the corporate aspects of the transaction – by counsel Tobias Boeckmann (Düsseldorf) and Benoit Serraf (Luxembourg), senior associates Francesco De Michele (Milan) and Kim Tang (Luxembourg), associate Eva Campione (Milan), and trainee Piermaurizio Francesconi (Milan). Partner Mauro Saccani (Milan) and trainee Pierluca Carbone (Milan) handled the financing aspects of the Italian part of the transaction.

LMS assisted the Bormioli Pharma Group and its managers with a multi-jurisdictional team led by partners Fabio Labruna, Giulio Gambini, and Luca Vicendone, and composed, among others, by counsel Virginia Mazzotti, senior associate Michele Setaro, and associate Nicolò Levati.
