What do we know about the KONNEKT / Georg-Knorr-Park project

The KONNEKT / Georg-Knorr-Park project is one of the largest urban development projects in Berlin in the coming years. Up to 1,700 apartments with a rentable living space of approximately 107,000 square meters and about 24,500 square meters of commercial space are planned for the former industrial site near Marzahn S-Bahn station. At least 50 percent of the apartments will be rented as subsidized housing. The project is characterized by its focus on sustainability and will be developed according to the KfW-40 standard, based on an urban design by David Chipperfield Architects.

Background

Most recently, the Greenberg Traurig team provided legal support to HOWOGE together with Berlinovo in the purchase of around 4,500 apartments and a 40-hectare potential development area from Vonovia for a total of 700 million euros in spring 2024.
