A&O Shearman advises borrower on financing package for Eat Happy investment
A&O Shearman advised the borrower on the financing package for the investment in Eat Happy Group, a European specialist in Asian convenience food, in connection with the planned combination of Eat Happy Group and the European operations of Hana Group, a French producer and distributor of freshly prepared sushi and pan-Asian cuisine-to-go. The combination is expected to create a platform for fresh Asian convenience food in Europe.

The transaction involves the merger of Eat Happy Group’s operations with Hana Group’s European business, bringing together two players in the ready-to-eat Asian food segment. A&O Shearman’s role centred on structuring the financing package supporting the borrower’s investment in the combined platform.
