Taylor Wessing appoints six new salary partners

Taylor Wessing has appointed six new salary partners effective July 1, 2025. All have begun their careers as associates within the firm and have convinced the internal decision-making committee with outstanding expertise in their respective specialized fields. They are (PICTURED LEFT TO RIGHT):

Marie Diesbach (Employment, Pensions & Mobility, Hamburg): Marie Diesbach is a member of the employment law team. She advises German and international companies as well as executives in all areas of individual and collective employment law, including employment litigation and representation in works council conciliation proceedings. A key focus of her work lies in conducting internal investigations to clarify suspected violations of employment law obligations by employees or executives, as well as advising on resulting employment law sanctions.

Lisa Katrin Iwersen, LL.M. (Stellenbosch) (Restructuring, Munich): Lisa Iwersen is a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Law Practice Area. She advises creditors on the realization and enforcement of claims as well as movable and real estate securities in crisis situations or in debtor insolvency proceedings. She also advises companies on intra-group liquidity management at national and international levels within the framework of cash pooling in various configurations. In distressed M&A transactions, she advises both the buyer and seller sides.

Dr. Fabian Masurat, CIPP/E (Technology, Media & Telecoms, Hamburg): Fabian Masurat is a specialist lawyer for information technology law and member of the Technology, Media & Telecoms practice group. His advisory focus areas include data protection, IT contract law, and gambling law. Additionally, Fabian Masurat is a certified anti-money laundering officer, certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), and lecturer at FOM University in the field of IT law and compliance.

Christina Poth, LL.M. (Edinburgh) (Employment, Pensions & Mobility, Düsseldorf): Christina Poth is a member of the Employment, Pension and Mobility Practice Area and specializes in temporary employment and external personnel deployment. She supports companies in implementing complex legal requirements in this area – particularly advising staffing agencies on applying for temporary employment permits, contract drafting considering temporary work collective agreements, and in cases of threatened permit revocation. Furthermore, another focus of her work lies in collective labor and social security law issues. This includes advising on co-determination matters under the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG) as well as accompanying workplace inspections and status determination procedures.

Johannes Schaadt-Wambach, LL.M. (Prague) (Regulatory, Düsseldorf): Johannes Schaadt-Wambach primarily advises on EU state aid and public procurement law. As a member of the Regulatory Practice Area, he assists in implementing public-private partnerships and represents clients before the EU Commission (particularly in state aid review procedures, notifications, complaints) as well as national and EU courts. His focus lies in the areas of infrastructure (e.g., energy and hospital sectors), finance, and aerospace & defense. As a specialist lawyer for public procurement law, Johannes Schaadt-Wambach also represents clients in procurement review procedures. Additionally, he accompanies public authorities in preparing and conducting Europe-wide procurement procedures, particularly in the area of complex IT procurements. Furthermore, Johannes Schaadt-Wambach advises aviation authorities on tenders under the Ground Handling Services Regulation at almost all major German airports.

Dr. Ulrich Spiegel (Commercial Agreements & Distribution, Munich): Ulrich Spiegel advises companies on product compliance and liability as well as procurement, sales, and distribution issues. On one hand, he advises on the efficient design of supply and distribution chains from both a sales and commercial law perspective as well as from a product compliance standpoint. On the other hand, he represents and advises in court and out of court in cases of product crises. His work encompasses advising globally based manufacturers and dealers. He provides support throughout the entire product lifecycle – from access to the European internal market to defending against unjustified liability claims – as well as in (product) recalls or withdrawals. As a CE officer (TÜV-Süd), Ulrich Spiegel knows industry practice firsthand. Ulrich Spiegel regularly publishes and speaks on product compliance topics.
