Razor Group appoints Jan Büchsenstein as the new general counsel
E-commerce platform Razor Group has appointed Jan Büchsenstein (PICTURED) as its new General Counsel, bringing extensive venture capital and banking expertise to the rapidly expanding start-up.
Büchsenstein is an experienced venture capital and banking expert who spent eleven years at Credit Suisse before transitioning to the fintech sector. Between 2020 and 2024, he served as Co-General Counsel at Berlin-based fintech Raisin, where he oversaw the integration of banking start-up Deposit Solutions. After taking a sabbatical and a brief period as an interim manager, he has now joined Razor Group as global General Counsel.
In his new role, Büchsenstein will focus on corporate law, M&A, and financing matters, reporting directly to CEO Maximilian Biller.
Prior to Büchsenstein’s arrival, Razor’s legal team was led on an interim basis by Hans-Peter von der Heyde. The department has now grown to five members who cover all areas of law and coordinate external advisory services.
