Osborne Clarke’s new openings in Frankfurt and Luxembourg

Osborne Clarke has opened two new offices in Europe, in Frankfurt and Luxembourg, as part of a push to build up its private markets and funds offering in the region.

The Frankfurt office marks the firm’s fifth location in Germany and will focus on small- and mid-cap private equity, M&A, finance, technology and corporate transactions and reorganisations. The office will be led by partner Johannes Goossens (pictured), who joined Osborne Clarke on 1 September from White & Case, where he was a local partner in the global private equity and M&A practice, working primarily on cross-border technology and finance-led deals.

The Luxembourg office, meanwhile, will be led by partners Anne-Gaelle Delabye and Gerard Maitrejean, who also joined the firm on 1 September. Delabye moves from the Luxembourg office of Ogier, where she was a partner in the investment funds team, while Maitrejean previously headed the corporate practice at CMS’s Luxembourg office. Delabye will lead the office’s investment funds and regulatory group, while Maitrejean will head the corporate and M&A group. They are joined by Mathilde Ostertag, from AKD Luxembourg, and Nicolas Mille, from VDB Law, both joining as partners.
