NRF advises Omnes Capital on sale of its stake in ILOS Projects

Norton Rose Fulbright has successfully advised Omnes Capital, a European private equity investor dedicated to facilitating the energy transition, on a significant transaction involving the sale of a majority stake in ILOS Projects on behalf of Capenergie 4 to international infrastructure asset manager AXA IM Alts and the ILOS Founders on the future joint venture with AXA IM Alts.

ILOS Projects, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, is an independent pan-European producer of renewable energy from photovoltaic plants. It has been a key player in the renewable energy sector, driving innovation and sustainability across Europe. ILOS develops and operates PV plants in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Germany. Omnes has backed ILOS since 2020.

This transaction marks a pivotal moment for the ILOS team as it continues to expand its reach and impact under the new majority ownership of AXA IM Alts. The involvement of a global leader in alternative investments like AXA IM Alts provides ILOS with substantial resources to further support and accelerate its growth.

Partner Dr. Klaus Bader (PICTURED), Partner and Head of Energy Europe, commented: “We are delighted to have advised Omnes on this transaction which underscores the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions and also highlights the strategic value of ILOS’ innovative approach to renewable energy. We are especially proud to have been able to leverage on our in-depth experience in advising on disposals and acquisitions of renewable energy IPPs for the benefit of Omnes and facilitating the further development of its growing pipeline for the ILOS-team”.
