Norton Rose Fulbright advises Zenobē on sdp acquisition
Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Zenobē on its acquisition of sdp energie GmbH and sdp energie Austria GmbH. The transaction represents Zenobē’s first corporate acquisition in Germany and forms part of the company’s broader European growth strategy.
The parties
Zenobē, headquartered in London, develops, finances, builds and operates large-scale battery storage projects and provides electrification solutions for vehicle fleets. The company has approximately 1,500 MW of storage capacity either operational or contractually secured and counts KKR and Infracapital among its shareholders. Since its founding in 2017, Zenobē has raised more than £3.2 billion in debt and equity financing.
Sdp energie, based in Schäftlarn, Bavaria, develops battery storage projects across the full value chain, covering site selection, land acquisition, permitting and grid connection processes through to the implementation of storage facilities. The company runs projects across several German federal states and holds a development pipeline in the battery storage sector.
