Linklaters advises banking syndicate on AT&S hybrid bond

Linklaters has advised the banking syndicate, comprising J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, Erste Group and Raiffeisen Bank International, on the placement of a subordinated perpetual convertible bond issued by AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik, with a total nominal amount of €400 million at a denomination of €100,000 per bond. The hybrid instrument will be convertible into new and/or existing ordinary bearer shares of the company for a limited period.

AT&S intends to apply the net proceeds from the issuance to general corporate purposes, including the refinancing of existing indebtedness and the strengthening of its capital base.
