Hogan Lovells advises Eurogate on CTH partnerships

Hogan Lovells advised Eurogate in connection with two separate partnerships at the Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH).

Under the terms of the respective agreements, CMA Terminals SAS (CMAT), a subsidiary of CMA CGM, Marseille, and Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT), a subsidiary of Hapag-Lloyd AG, Hamburg, will each acquire a 20% stake in Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg GmbH.

Hogan Lovells advisory teams

The Hogan Lovells team advising Eurogate was led by Hamburg-based partner Jan Philipp Feigen, with co-leadership from partner Maximilian Menges and counsel Malte Ingwersen. The full team comprised counsel Philipp Strümpell, senior associate Hannah Wohlfarth and project associate Thorben Stute for private equity (Hamburg/Munich); partner Marc Schweda, counsel Jan-Christoph Rudowicz, senior associates Jonathan Möller and Nikita Ivlev for competition/public procurement law (Hamburg); counsel Falk Loose and senior associate Peter Volkmann for tax law (Munich); and senior associate André Lohde for real estate law (Hamburg).

A separate Hogan Lovells team led by Düsseldorf-based partner Mesut Korkmaz advised Eurogate’s shareholder Eurokai on corporate and capital markets law aspects of the transaction, particularly in connection with disclosure obligations. That team also included senior associate Dimitrij Voronov and associate Max Janos Grieger, all from the capital markets/corporate M&A practice in Düsseldorf.
