Hilka Schneider joins DHL as executive VP legal services

Starting January 2025, Dr. Hilka Schneider (PICTURED) will be responsible for DHL‘s legal affairs as executive vice president legal services and as chief compliance officer. In her new role, she will take care of risk management related to topics such as sustainability and supply chain due diligence, as well as legal coordination on cybersecurity. She will report to CFO Melanie Kreis.

Schneider previously worked at DHL from 2005 to 2008 as Senior Legal Counsel M&A, before later becoming General Counsel at the travel company Tui. Since 2021, she had been working at the Dutch chemical company Akzo Nobel. There, she was Group General Counsel and a member of the Executive Committee. She took a professional break after implementing a Contract Lifecycle Management System and restructuring the cost management of external consultants under her leadership at Akzo Nobel.
