Greenberg Traurig with GLP on logistics property acquisition in Philippsburg

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, with a team composed by Nicolai Lagoni, Martin HamerIrina zu StolbergFranca Sonntag, Claudia HardHenning SieberNatalie HsiaoJan Schwartzkopff, Ahmet Kilic and Paul Renger, advised GLP on the acquisition of a logistics property in Philippsburg, in the Karlsruhe metropolitan area, measuring approximately 116,000 square meters, as part of a sale-and-lease-back transaction. The purchase price is confidential.

GLP is a global project developer, owner, and operator of logistics properties, data centers, and systems for renewable energy.

GLP will renovate the property after the current tenant vacates, modernizing it according to sustainability standards, transforming it into a logistics and commercial property suitable for third-party use, and offering a flexible space.

Greenberg Traurig advised GLP on both the purchase agreement and the lease agreement, as well as on financing issues.

Background:

This is the second time GLP has retained Greenberg Traurig in the context of a property acquisition. Greenberg Traurig provided advice to GLP in 2022 regarding the acquisition of a building plot in Rhineland-Palatinate.
