Gleiss Lutz: 9 new partners starting from January

Gleiss Lutz has announced the appointment of nine new partners and four counsel effective 1 January 2026.

The new partners are:

– Katharina Bein (Düsseldorf) advises national and international clients on all matters of corporate and capital markets law, focusing on corporate governance and liability, group integration and restructuring, as well as information and disclosure obligations under capital markets law. She also advises on compliance and internal investigations.

– Dr. Björn P. Ebert (Stuttgart) specialises in international commercial and investment arbitration (in particular CIETAC, ICC, DIS and ICSID), cross-border disputes, and enforcing and setting aside arbitral awards.

– Dr. Saskia Kirchgeßner (Frankfurt) advises clients on all aspects of European and German antitrust law, defends them in cartel investigations and abuse proceedings, and represents them in associated civil litigation and actions for damages. She also advises on merger control law, cooperation and compliance, and is an expert on digital competition law.

– Dr. Jan-Alexander Lange (Frankfurt) advises corporate clients, banks and other financial institutions on banking and finance matters, in particular on debt financing. He has a long and successful track record in advising clients on complex national and international financial restructuring as well as acquisition financing.

– Dr. Yixiao Li (Stuttgart) specialises in Asia-related cross-border M&A transactions, focusing on China, Singapore and South-East Asia. She advises Asian clients on their investments in Germany and German corporates on their business in Asia.

– Kevin Löffler (Frankfurt) advises German and international clients on complex cross-border M&A transactions as well as issues of corporate and capital markets law, focusing on transactions in the financial services sector.

 Dr. Antonius Mann (Frankfurt) specialises in complex national and cross-border M&A transactions for both buyside and sellside clients and including joint ventures and strategic carve-outs. He advises international financial investors on transactions in the key sectors of energy and infrastructure, in particular.

– Dr. Andreas Schüssel (Düsseldorf) advises on all aspects of European and German antitrust law. He focuses on cross-border and national merger control proceedings, particularly in the technology sector. He also assists clients on complex antitrust proceedings and compliance issues.

– Dr. Florian Wagner (Frankfurt) specialises in dispute resolution. He advises clients on complex disputes involving transactions and at the intersection of compliance, finance and insolvency law in particular. He also has special expertise in complex mass litigation.

The following lawyers have been named counsel with effect from 1 January 2026:

– Dr. Jennifer Hattaß (Stuttgart) specialises in antitrust law, advising on international cartel investigations and merger control proceedings in particular. She also assists corporates in planning and implementing compliance measures as well as in internal investigations.

– Jan Felix Hinrichs (Berlin) advises on IP and technology aspects of transactions, with a focus on carve-outs, including the contract drafting and IT unbundling these may require. He also advises on commercial agreements in digital and future economy, including XaaS contracts as well as AI development and license agreements, addressing issues such as data monetisation.

– Dr. Barbara Maske-Reiche (Düsseldorf) specialises in insolvency and restructuring law, advising on restructuring processes both in and out of court. She also advises on insolvency-related corporate law issues and on distressed M&A transactions.

– Dr. Dominik Monz (Frankfurt) specialises in German and international tax law, with a focus on M&A and private equity transactions, real estate transactions, and restructuring. He also advises on compliance.
