DLA Piper launches new office in Düsseldorf
DLA Piper announced the opening of its new office in Düsseldorf from 15 April 2024.
The team in Düsseldorf will be led by Office Managing Partner Michael Cieslarczyk (pictured) and includes Corporate Partner Dr Murad M. Daghles, who focuses on cross-border M&A transactions. They will be joined by recently appointed Employment Partner, Christian Freiherr von Buddenbrock, and his team who specialises in company pension schemes. In due course, a number of other lawyers and business services professionals from Cologne, and other offices across Germany, will also join the new Düsseldorf office.
DLA Piper’s new home in Düsseldorf is in the Mindspace area on the third floor of the Stilwerk, as an interim office. Around 40 to 50 workplaces will be available in the new premises. The move to a larger property is planned for 2025. With the addition of the new office in Düsseldorf, the firm will then have five offices across Germany.
”Further partners, counsel and associates will follow in the coming months.” said Dr Kai Bodenstedt and Dr Martin Haller, Co-Managing Partners, DLA Piper Germany.
“Düsseldorf is one of the most important business centers in Europe, for us as a global law firm it is essential to have a strong local base here. We are looking forward to establishing a modern and innovative office in Düsseldorf,” adds Dr Martin Haller.
“The new space offered by the interim premises will offer a range of benefits, it’s located in a lovely part of the old town and is very flexible, allowing us plenty of space to grow, with innovative features such as a retractable roof, and above all a very central location for our clients. We look forward to further expanding our team on site and continuing our growth strategy,” concludes Dr Kai Bodenstedt.
