DLA Piper advises JLL Spark on investment in Probis Software
DLA Piper has advised US-based JLL Spark Global Ventures (Spark) on its investment in Munich-based software company Probis Software. The Series A financing provides Probis with further funding from international investors for the planned expansion of the company.
Spark is part of the corporate venture arm of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), which has invested more than USD390 million in more than 50 proptech startups since June 2018. JLL provides investment management services to institutional and private investors, as well as high net worth individuals worldwide. Against this background, the parties are also seeking strategic synergies.
The Munich-based start-up Probis, which develops and distributes the cloud-based multi-project controlling software PROBIS, has grown steadily in recent years. In addition to Germany, Austria, France, Sweden and Portugal, the company is now also active in the US and Canada.
The DLA Piper team was jointly led by partner Dr Moritz von Hesberg and senior associate Rune Jelte Weltz (both Corporate/M&A, Hamburg, BOTH PICTURED LEFT AND RIGHT). Also involved were partners Dr Konrad Rohde (Tax, Frankfurt), Dr Nico Brunotte (IT), counsel Florian Jeske (Employment, both Hamburg), Sven Bischoff (Tax, Frankfurt), associates Franziska Golombek (Employment) and Frauke Mielenhausen (IPT) as well as Melanie Bierwirth (Corporate, all Hamburg).
