Baker McKenzie’s Thoms joins World Economic Forum’s exclusive council

Anahita Thoms (PICTURED), Head of the International Trade Practice at Baker McKenzie in Germany, has been selected to join the World Economic Forum‘s (WEF) Global Future Councils network for the 2025-2026 term. She will be a member of the Global Future Council on Good Governance.

The Global Future Councils network is one of the world’s leading interdisciplinary knowledge networks dedicated to promoting innovative thinking to shape a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.

Anahita Thoms is a member of Baker McKenzie’s EMEA Steering Committee for Investigations, Compliance & Ethics and serves as the Global Lead Sustainability Partner for the Industrials, Manufacturing and Transportation industry group. She sits on advisory boards of both profit and non-profit organizations, including the Atlantic Bridge and Startup Teens, and is an elected member of the National Committee of UNICEF Germany.

Baker McKenzie has been collaborating with the WEF since 2010 to engage political, economic, academic, and other leading societal figures in joint initiatives. In its relationship with the WEF, the firm focuses on promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors on sustainability issues.
