Baker McKenzie Germany appoints four new partners
Baker McKenzie appointed four new partners in Germany effective July 1, 2024.

The new partners in Germany are:
- Dr. Felix Diehl, Employment Practice Group, Frankfurt Felix Diehl advises national and international clients on all employment law matters, particularly in connection with acquisitions and takeovers, restructurings, and works council matters. His key advisory focuses include transaction-related employment law and cross-border restructuring projects. His other advisory fields include representing clients in judicial and extrajudicial termination and contract disputes and advising on occupational pension schemes.
- Dr. Max Oehm, LL.M., Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Frankfurt Max Oehm advises national and international clients on complex legal disputes, particularly in connection with professional services (advisor liability), post-M&A, and energy and infrastructure projects. He represents clients before state courts, international arbitration tribunals, and other ADR proceedings. Additionally, Max Oehm regularly serves as an arbitrator.
- Dr. Richard Raoul Stefanink, Corporate/M&A Practice Group, Düsseldorf Richard Stefanink specializes in M&A and private equity transactions. He comprehensively advises institutional and financial investors (on both the buyer and seller sides) on various types of transactions, including national and international takeovers, disposals, and joint ventures. His practice also includes advising on co-investments, venture capital transactions, and general corporate law matters.
- Dr. Katharina Weiner, Public Law Practice Group, Düsseldorf Katharina Weiner specializes in transaction-related public law and advises global clients and the public sector on reorganizations, project developments, procurement projects, and M&A transactions. With her focus on regulatory and public law aspects, she possesses extensive experience and expertise in structuring, implementing, and managing cross-border reorganizations in highly regulated sectors and complex procurement procedures.
The appointments worldwide
Baker McKenzie also announced the promotion of 66 attorneys to partners effective July 1, 2024, except for colleagues in North America and some locations in Latin America, whose promotions became effective on January 1, 2024. With 48 lateral hires who joined the law firm’s offices this fiscal year, the firm has welcomed a total of 114 partners worldwide since July 1, 2023. The majority of lateral hires are active in the transactional practice, further strengthening the firm’s ability to advise clients on complex cross-border transactions.
