A&O Shearman advises SAP on Dremio and Prior Labs acquisitions
A&O Shearman is advising SAP (NYSE: SAP), an enterprise application software and business artificial intelligence company, on two acquisitions aimed at strengthening its enterprise AI and data infrastructure capabilities: Dremio, a data lakehouse platform, and Prior Labs, a company specialising in tabular foundation models (TFMs).
Both transactions are expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

The team advising on the Prior Labs acquisition was led by Munich-based M&A partner Alexander Veith (pictured), with support from counsel Stefan Witte.
