Advant Beiten expands distribution law with a new partner
New partner for the law firm Advant Beiten based in Hamburg: he’s Oliver Korte (50), joined the firm in October and comes from SKW Schwarz, where he headed the commercial practice. At Advant Beiten, he will expand the specialist area of distribution law.
Korte began his legal career in 2003 at SES Schlutius Eulitz Schrader, where he’s been promoted to partner in 2005, before the firm merged with Schwarz Kelwing Wicke Westpfahl in 2009 to turn to SKW Schwarz. At SKW, Korte worked in the distribution law field, related especially to litigation and arbitration proceedings. For example, he represented companies in the food and consumer goods industries as well as medical device manufacturers in commercial agency or authorised dealer disputes, such as disputes on compensation or termination claims. In addition to conflict-related matters, he was also regularly involved in setting up and structuring distribution systems.
The new entry complements Advant Beiten’s advisory services with his specific knowledge of commercial and distribution law, which is of increasing importance for the firm’s often medium-sized clientele from the industry, food and consumer goods sectors.
Together with Korte, also the associate Helena Thiel, coming from SKW too, joins Advant Beiten.
