Baker McKenzie Germany elects Anahita Thoms as country managing partner
Baker McKenzie Germany has elected Anahita Thoms (pictured) as country managing partner for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026. She succeeds Alexander Wolff, who held the role for three years and will assume the chairmanship of the firm’s supervisory board — a position previously held by Thoms herself.
In addition to heading Baker McKenzie’s commercial practice group in Germany, Thoms leads the firm’s international trade practice in the country and serves as co-chair of the firm’s global crisis management and strategic response group.
New management committee
At Thoms’ proposal, the partnership has also elected Munich-based Nicolai Behr (partner, compliance & investigations) to Baker McKenzie Germany’s newly formed management committee for a three-year term. Behr will take responsibility for innovation and compliance within the firm.
