Noerr advises Mercedes-Benz on Berlin branch sale

Noerr is advising Mercedes-Benz on the sale of its Berlin-Brandenburg branch to Global Auto Holdings (GAHL), a family business founded in Canada and now headquartered in the United Kingdom, as part of the automaker’s ongoing strategic repositioning of its own retail structures.

The parties plan to complete the transaction by the end of 2026.

The divestiture is part of a broader M&A process through which Mercedes-Benz has been selling off its sales branches via parallel auction processes. Earlier divestitures in 2025 covered the sales branches in Koblenz, Neu-Ulm, Mainz, Dortmund and Lübeck, while agreements for the branches in Aachen, Kassel, Würzburg, Wuppertal, Reutlingen and Hannover were signed in early 2026.
