Hengeler Mueller advises Commerzbank on UniCredit bid

Hengeler Mueller is advising Commerzbank in connection with UniCredit’s offer for its unsolicited public takeover bid for all shares of Commerzbank, with the acceptance period running until 16 June 2026.

The offer is structured as a share-for-share exchange, with consideration consisting exclusively of newly issued UniCredit shares. Commerzbank’s market capitalisation stands at approximately EUR 40 billion.
