Catapult Sports acquired IMPECT: the advisors
DLA Piper, with a team led by Dr. Nils Krause (PICTURED), has advised Catapult Sports, a global player in sports technology and performance analytics, on its acquisition of IMPECT. IMPECT is a Germany-based company specializing in data-driven football scouting, particularly renowned for developing the innovative Packing™ metric. The transaction is a key component of Catapult’s long-term strategy to enhance its all-in-one technology platform through the integration of differentiated scouting capabilities.
The acquisition of IMPECT expands Catapult’s offering to over 4,600 elite teams, who will benefit from even more precise performance and video data. Founded in 2014, IMPECT has established itself as a key player in match analysis. The Packing™ metric provides a unique perspective on the effectiveness of player actions and is used by professional football clubs and associations in over 25 countries to gain deeper insights into player performance.
