Leadership transition at Withers: Ceri Vokes to take helm as CEO
Global law firm Withers has revealed that Ceri Vokes (PICTURED) will step into the role of CEO, with the appointment taking effect from July 1, 2026.
A veteran of the firm since 2006, Vokes brings extensive experience in private client and tax law, having built a practice focused on providing tax and fiduciary advice to business owners, company founders, private equity and hedge fund principals, as well as advising multigenerational family offices.
The firm has planned a year-long handover period leading up to July 2026, during which Vokes will collaborate closely with Margaret Robertson, the outgoing CEO who has been at the firm’s helm for close to a quarter of a century.
Despite taking on leadership responsibilities, Vokes plans to maintain an active tax law practice. “Withers is the leading global reference point for private client advisory services: we are the legal and tax advisors to entrepreneurial families, their companies, trustees, family business fiduciaries, philanthropic entities, third sector organizations, financial institutions and governments. I intend to continue my mandate respecting our identity roots while looking toward future challenges. I will work closely with the management team to achieve our strategic priorities, enhance the entrepreneurial spirit of my partners, and fully realize our potential” she stated.
The firm’s global footprint includes more than 220 partners and an additional 650 legal professionals worldwide.
