The advisors of Qualitas Energy on acquisition of 100 MW wind energy portfolio

Leading global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised investment and project development company Qualitas Energy on the acquisition of a wind energy portfolio in Lower Saxony, under the leadership of the Berlin legal trio Dr. Tim Heitling, Dr. Daniel Neudecker, and Nurelia Kather (ALL PICTURED, LEFT TO RIGHT).

The acquired portfolio comprises three wind projects with a planned total capacity of up to 100 megawatts. The projects are in an advanced stage of development and envisage the construction of a total of 14 modern wind turbines. Once operational, the portfolio will generate sufficient clean electricity annually to supply more than 66,000 households, thereby making a substantial contribution to Germany’s climate targets.

Dr. Tim Heitling, Office Managing Partner Berlin, comments: “We are pleased to have supported Qualitas Energy in this significant transaction and to have taken another step towards strengthening sustainable energy infrastructure in Germany and toward a climate-neutral future”.

Hogan Lovells advised Qualitas Energy with a cross-practice group team on all essential legal and tax matters related to the acquisition. The team led by Dr. Tim Heitling and Dr. Thomas Dörmer regularly supports Qualitas Energy in complex acquisition and disposal processes.
