Baker McKenzie appoints new partners in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf
Baker McKenzie has appointed two new partners in Germany, effective July 1, 2025. They are Agnes Herwig (PICTURED LEFT), in the Employment Practice Group and based in Frankfurt, and Rabea Pape-Lingier (PICTURED RIGHT), in the Tax Practice Group and based in Düsseldorf.
Agnes Herwig specializes in forward-looking topics such as the use of artificial intelligence, pay transparency and pay equity, as well as employment law aspects of corporate restructuring. She advises national and international companies on all matters of individual and collective employment law, including negotiations with employee representatives, cross-border projects for harmonizing working conditions, and global employee mobility in the areas of employment, social security, and immigration law.
Rabea Pape-Lingier advises and represents multinational companies on complex transfer pricing matters, international tax planning, and optimization of corporate restructuring. Her focus lies particularly on (multi-jurisdictional) transfer pricing disputes, including strategic advice on audit defense, Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), and Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs) for the elimination of double taxation.

Baker McKenzie announced the promotion of a total of 59 partners effective July 1, 2025. These appointments come in addition to the promotions of colleagues in North America and Latin America earlier in 2025.
With 48 lateral hires joining Baker McKenzie offices during this fiscal year, the firm has added a total of 107 partners globally since July 1, 2024. The majority of promotions were in the areas of Transactions, Dispute Resolution, Tax, and Employment. Women account for 47 percent of this year’s partner promotions.
